I am so excited for this beautiful couple. In a few short weeks, they’ll be welcoming their first child to the world. Justin is the younger brother of a close friend of mine and I believe Candice has always been his partner. They are sweet, fun, and their love radiates. Oh yeah, and they both look pretty good. 🙂
To be able to have shot their engagement, boudoir, and maternity sessions has been such an honor. They have blessed me by inviting me to share in these special life events.
When we were shooting the engagement session at The Veterans Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, they brought their cute little Bella. She did so great and we featured her in quite a few pictures. Unfortunately, just a few weeks later Bella went missing. It was so sad for Candice but we were happy that we had those pictures.
The boudoir session was taken in my home with the assistance of Tyler, the most amazing hair and makeup artist. These pictures were a surprise gift for Justin on their wedding night. While Candice was getting her makeup done, Justin called her cell phone! Tyler and I made strange and vague noises in the background so that it would sound like Candice was in a store. Whew! I think we got away with it. LOL
After the wedding, they moved far away from Albuquerque to pursue their careers. I was so happy to hear just a few months later that they were expecting a baby. Since they would be in town visiting family and friends for a baby shower, they asked me to take their maternity pictures. Seriously people, I cannot express how excited and honored I was to do that for them. It was actually a strange day for this area, there were grey clouds covering the sky and strong winds! We tucked ourselves into the trees of the Bosque and stayed out of the weather. Candice, Justin, and the baby were full of energy and love. Really, the little baby boy was kicking during most of the shoot!
I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
